Event Details

A California native, Steve Lopez is the author of three novels and a book of non-fiction, The Soloist: A Lost Dream, an Unlikely Friendship, and the Redemptive Power of Music. This book, released to great acclaim in 2008, is based on the columns that Lopez wrote for the LA Times about his friendship with downtown Los Angeles musician, Nathaniel Ayers. The touching story was adapted into a major motion picture in 2009. The author talk will be followed by a book signing. Copies of The Soloist will be made available for purchase. Many thanks to the Peninsula Friends of the Library for sponsoring this afternoon event! Questions about this program? Please call the Reference Desk: 310-377-9584 ext. 601.
