Three-time New York Times #1 best-selling author and past Palos Verdes High School student Daniel J. Levitin will discuss his smart, important, and as always, exquisitely-written book The Organized Mind: Thinking Straight in the Age of Information Overload

Readers of Levitin’s two previous bestsellers have come to know and trust his unique ability to translate cutting-edge neuroscience into an informative and entertaining narrative.  Now Levitin turns his attention to an issue that affects everyone in this information and digital age: Organization.

Organization is the reason that some people are more adept than others at managing today’s hyper flow of data.  The Organized Mind explains the science behind their success and shows how all of us can make small but crucial changes to regain mastery over our lives.

Daniel J. Levitin is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at McGill University, where he holds the Bell Chair in Psychology of Electronic Communication and the FQRT Strategic Professor Chair in Psychology.  He has also engineered albums for Jonathan Richman, Modern Lovers, Santana, and the Grateful Dead, among other musical accomplishments.  Levitin was raised in the Palos Verdes area.

Copies of The Organized Mind will be available for purchase by the Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore.
