Event Details

Are you an aspiring writer? Would you like to be published in an anthology or read your work in public? To celebrate November's National Writing Month, PVLD will hold a series of write-ins, workshops, a reading and ultimately publish an anthology in January of 2017. Whether you write fiction, non-fiction, poetry, screenplays or short stories, all writers are welcome!

There is no fee to participate and every qualified person participating in PVLD's National Writing Month will get a copy of the anthology that will be published by PVLD in 2017. Registration is required and to be published and receive the anthology, those registered must attend at least 3 of the 6 scheduled events. Only material written DURING November will be considered for the anthology--any work written before or after November will not be eligible.

You do NOT have to be registered to attend one of the workshops if you want to come to a workshop without participating in the full National Writing Month program throughout November.

Registration begins with a face-to-face registration and information session between 1-3:30 p.m. on October 18 at the Peninsula Center Library community room. If you are unable to attend the registration on October 18, you can register by phone or e-mail: 310.377.9584 ext 214 or jpeck@pvld.org...e-mail would work best if you have it.

The deadline to register is October 31st.

Each workshop will have a speaker discussing a particular topic while a write-in is a casual gathering where writers will have the opportunity to work on new material and network with other writers. All events will occur at the Peninsula Center Library community room.

Upcoming events in the National Writing Month program will include:
