Jessie McGrath will be hosting an art workshop where participants can create their own art pieces using Jessie's mixed media techniques. This workshop is in conjunction with her current art exhibit, on display in the Peninsula Center Library foyer. A reception with light refreshments will follow the workshop. Supplies will be provided, no registration needed.
Starting off with merely a dream and a Lisa Frank kit, Jessie McGrath has been active in the arts from an early age. In her work, she strives towards the goal of enjoying the process over aiming for a finished product. This process involves lazy sketches, layers of ink, paint, Zelda breaks, and foreign street food YouTube videos, all while listening to the same Kpop song on repeat.
In her spare time, Jessie volunteers with non-profits, youth-based events, theater, costume and makeup design, murals, graphic design, photography, and manages and curates for the Peoples Art of Portland and Killer Pink galleries.
