Library District invites you to join author and retired financial executive Wei
Yen, as he presents a program on the cultural difference between China and the
West. Understanding traditional Chinese culture can help decision makers make
better decisions in business, finance, and politics. He will address the faux
pas Westerners sometime make while trying to overcome cultural barriers in
China.
Yen is
retired as Group Treasurer from CITIC Pacific in Hong Kong. Previously he held
positions as Managing Director in Corporate Finance for Lehman and Nomura, Managing
Director for Moody’s Asia Fig rating practices, and was CFO for iSwitch in
Shenzhen. He is the author of From
the Great Wall to Wall Street: A Cross-Cultural Look at the Leadership
and Management of the US and China published by Palgrave
Macmillan. He and his family reside in Palos Verdes.
