Event Details

Join us for 2nd Sundays @ Miraleste Library; a series of entertaining, educational, and cultural programs conducted when the library is closed for maximum enjoyment.

This month come explore the world of composting! Together we'll learn about the benefits of composting, how to get started, and how to use compost to make your home garden thrive all winter long. Garden Educator Dana Swarth will make a brief presentation followed by a Q&A session and a garden-themed craft. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend. Families will take home potted seeds to plant in their own gardens!

Dana Swarth is the Garden Manager and Educator at Leawood and Annalee Elementary Schools in Carson, California. She has been a leader in the garden education movement in LA for over seven years. She has farmed in the tropics, the semi-desert, and highly urbanized environments, so she's ready to answer all your gardening questions!

This program is free and open to the public. For information, call 310-377-9584 x452.

2nd Sundays @ Miraleste Library is generously sponsored by Jerry & Laura RE/MAX Estates Properties.

There is always something fun happening at the Miraleste Library on Sundays!
