Little Fish Tales By The Sea
Please join us for storytime fun with stories, songs, and a craft! Storytimes will be held every third Thursday of the month in the Sunset Room at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. This program is geared to children ages 2-5 but all ages are welcome. No registration is necessary. This special program is brought to you by the City of Rancho Palos Verdes and the Palos Verdes Library District.

The Point Vicente Interpretive Center is located at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Rancho Palos Verdes.

Join us for storytime fun! Activities include stories, songs, rhythm and rhyme. This program is geared to children ages 2-5 years, but children of all ages are welcome. No registration is necessary. Designed for parents and children to attend together. Meet at George F. Canyon Nature Center, located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East in Rolling Hills Estates. FREE program! One Book One Peninsula Presents Andy Weir, Best-Selling Author of The Martian

Due to the high demand for this event, guests will be allowed only one seat per reservation.


The Palos Verdes Library District and its community partners Marymount California University, the Palos Verdes Art Center, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, the Peninsula Friends of the Library, and Sustainable Palos Verdes Schools are pleased to announce that the 7th Annual One Book, One Peninsula program will feature New York Times best-seller The Martian by Andy Weir.  


On Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 11 a.m., Mr. Weir will discuss his book followed by a Q & A session at the Palos Verdes Art Center located at 5504 W. Crestridge RD, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Pre-signed copies of The Martian will be available for purchase. Registration is required. Free online registration begins February 4.


Parking at the Art Center is limited. Parking will be available at the Peninsula Community Church, 5640 W. Crestridge Rd, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Street parking will be available on Crenshaw Blvd. and West Crestridge Rd. Parking will also be available at the Peninsula Center Library. Shuttle buses will transport passengers between the Peninsula Center Library and the Art Center between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm. Pick up will be on the Deep Valley side of the library.

Do you live, work or go to school on the Peninsula? The history of the Peninsula is YOUR STORY! Bring 1-3 photographs of people, activities or events that represent your connection to the Peninsula. Photos can be old, new, formal or snapshots (originals preferred). We scan YOUR photos, you keep them, together we preserve our shared history.
