Art In Our Library Presents "Life’s Bits & Pieces: An array of oil paintings and mixed media" by Michelle McBride
During the 2019 Community Art Show at the Peninsula Center Library, Michelle McBride won the popular vote from the PVLD community.
About the Artist:
Michelle McBride has lived in Palos Verdes for the last 27 years. Her oil paintings are an expression of her desire to share her appreciation of the unique light, lifestyle and landscapes of Southern California and other destinations where she has found magical light and joy. She has been inspired and influenced by artists who have been transformational in their visions of light and have brought them to the canvas including Joaquin Sorolla, Edward Hopper, and numerous uniquely Californian impressionist painters.
She’s been working to develop her own style in capturing the movement, stillness and the illusions of life. Michelle has been active in various art groups and organizations and enjoys the creative process in a variety of mediums including singing, playing guitar, and composing songs. Her passion for art and personal growth are inseparable realities.
