Carol Hungerford is a So Cal native fine art painter specializing in figurative, portrait and genre painting. She loved art as a child but pursued performing arts after receiving a degree in Dramatic Literature from Seattle Pacific University.  Her art studies began at Otis with a story boarding class, then a four year stint at Los Angeles Figurative Art Academy, followed by another four year study with Joseph Mendez who ignited her determination to understand and express color. Her portrait work was self taught. She likes to say she paints life; in color, in motion, in stories and in people. There is no end to seeing and interpreting our world so she is always finding new ideas or merely color palettes to explore.
